In the Pangea, musicians are playing for the first time together. These recordings were the result of first take improvisations in the studio.

It has never been so vital to break free of the stale language of fragmentation, to step out of the shadow of global conflicts and listen to the gift of each other’s music. If only we learned to savor the surprise in each encounter as if it were the first and treasured the gift as if it were the last. In this CD, five master musicians – each rooted firmly in their towering tradition have come together without prior rehearsal for a crafted piece. What unfolds is a rare display of color and artistic singularity welcoming each other in a spirit of tenderness and play. Follow them melting like streams into a quiet oceanic oneness and branching out again far and wide from the same quiet sea.
